Established in February 2015, Acier Steelwork Solutions offers customised structural engineering and value-added software primarily for, but not limited to, the structural steelwork industry.

Despite there being many sophisticated proprietary engineering analysis packages available to the professional engineer, there is considerable scope for organisations to benefit from the commissioning and use of customised structural engineering software specific to their needs. Acier Steelwork Solutions has a wealth of industry-gained experience in the development of such software.

In addition, the increasing need to make full use of the Building Information Modelling(BIM) concept within the construction industry has effectively brought about the need for both the professional engineer and the supply-chain to work in collaboration in becoming more efficient in the processing of key data on which their individual businesses depend. This data can be used not only to make internal processes more efficient, effectively streamlining mundane, repetitive tasks, but also to offer up-to-date information to external organisations that interact within the entire supply chain.

The data that can be accessed is typically available within the computer-generated 3D building models that are the norm in today's construction industry.

Acier Steelwork Solutions has considerable experience in the authoring of customised software applications that make use of the available model data, typically using the Tekla Structures^® API; the integration of engineering design with the building model itself and offers customised "Plugins" and applications that complement those already contained in the Tekla Structures^® software package.
